BioMalPar XXII: biology and pathology of the malaria parasite
Maria Bernabeu, Bismarck Dinko, Bjorn Kafsack, Kasia Modrzynska
Description OverviewSpeakersProgrammePractical informationSponsorsMedia kit Overview This conference will take place at EMBL Heidelberg with the option to attend virtually Conference overview Malaria remains a major global health burden and progress toward its control and elimination has been limited by growing drug resistance the challenge of developing a highly effective and broadly active vaccine reduced commitments to global public health and political instability The goal of BioMalPar is to 1 highlight recent advances in basic and translational research into the biology of malaria parasites their interactions with their mammalian host and mosquito vector and the development of new interventions 2 foster collaboration among researchers in these efforts and 3 provide training and networking opportunities for participants Together we can drive forward the innovations and strategies needed to reduce the terrible toll malaria takes Join us in this crucial endeavour to understand the biology of the malaria parasite and to advance global health Session topics Parasite cell and molecular biology Transmission and vector biology Host parasite interactions Evolution and ecology Genome scale approaches What past participants say about the conference The BioMalPar Conference is its own kind of amazing Great science shared very friendly brilliant scientists and fun meeting It was also my first time at the EMBL Training centre magnificent Joy Kabagenyi University of Glasgow UK I was thoroughly impressed by the breadth of topics covered and the quality of speakers at the conference Especially impressive name of each sessions made the conference a standout event offering rich content and valuable connections with peers and experts It was a rewarding experience Shilpi
