The latest #cryoEM structure from Nagai group at MRC LMB in Cambridge identifying a new spliceosome assembly intermediate (Ci complex) is now published in Molecular Cell.

The paper contains the most complete and accurate depiction of the catalytic spliceosome to date and identifies a new functional state that modulates the equilibrium between the two steps of splicing. It is also a tribute to our mentor Kiyoshi Nagai.
