Critical points and transitions in tissue morphogenesis
Currently there is the opportunity to join our research group as a PhD student.
Given the interdisciplinary nature of our research, students can follow a variety of approaches to address the role of critical points in tissue morphogenesis. There are opportunities to learn and develop biophysical / biochemical tools for measuring and manipulating in vivo cellular and tissue mechanical properties; embryological tools to control in vivo and ex vivo Xenopus and zebrafish developmental processes; computational image analysis tools to facilitate live data processing; and through collaborations implementation of theoretical modelling in data from embryonic tissues.
