How to get access

The EMBL Barcelona MIF provides access to academic, clinical and industry users, supports their projects from sample preparation to image analysis with expert staff, and offers tailored training opportunities in the high resolution light microscopy and data processing technologies.

We highly recommend getting in touch with our team first if you are interested in our services. We are here to provide technical advice in regards to your project as well as on how to get access.

Who Can Use Our Facility? EMBL researchers, academics from around the world, industry partners

Direct access

Potential users are requested to write to us directly with a short description of their project and the imaging technology they are interested in using. We will then set up a consultation and proceed further.

Access via imaging infrastructures

Euro-BioImaging

  • For a broad range of light microscopy services and technologies.
  • EMBL’s imaging services can be openly accessed via the EMBL node of Euro-BioImaging.
  • Depending on the topic of your research, the technology of interest and your affiliation, financial support might be available.

Global-BioImaging

For a broad range of light microscopy services and technologies.

Depending on the topic of your research, the technology of interest and your affiliation, financial support might be available such as the Imaging4All for facility access and training opportunities.

Access via EU access programmes

As part of the Euro-BioImaging EMBL node, we are offering access via several European access programmes. This includes topic-specific programmes, such as AgroServ, CanSERV and  Imaging4All.
