New team members wanted! – EMBL Imaging Centre

EMBL Imaging Centre

Open access to cutting-edge electron and light microscopy

We provide researchers from Europe and beyond with a synergistic portfolio of imaging services including cryo-EM, super-resolution and intravital microscopy to enable new ground-breaking research that crosses the scales of biology.

New team members wanted!

Do you want to become a member of our team? Now would be a chance!

With the EMBL Imaging Centre now fully operational and continuing to grow in scope, we are seeking new team members to join our team.

The Cryo-Electron Microscopy Team led by Simone Mattei and the Advanced Light Microscopy Team led by Timo Zimmermann are looking for expert imaging professionals with a strong motivation for highest-level user service provision and workflow development.

Areas of expertise may include but are not limited to:

  • EM: cryo-electron microscopy, cryo-electron tomography, cryo-focused ion beam milling/scanning electron microscopy, correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM), cryo-super-resolution light microscopy, and structure determination by single particle analysis or subtomogram averaging.
  • LM: super-resolution microscopy, non-linear microscopy, label-free imaging methods, cryo-fluorescence microscopy and correlative methods.
  • CLEM (correlative correlative light and electron microscopy): relevant across teams.

We are also looking for a highly organised and proactive Lab Manager to take charge of the day-to-day operations and organisation of our laboratory.  You would support the IC service provision in general, supervised by Stephanie Alexander as part of the Research and Service Management team.
