First EMBL IC symposium – EMBL Imaging Centre

EMBL Imaging Centre

Open access to cutting-edge electron and light microscopy

We provide researchers from Europe and beyond with a synergistic portfolio of imaging services including cryo-EM, super-resolution and intravital microscopy to enable new ground-breaking research that crosses the scales of biology.

First EMBL IC symposium

Don’t miss out the chance to attend our first symposium on imaging across scales and to get to know our services in the brand new building happening on 31 May.

Registration is open until 29 April!

The EMBL Imaging Centre invites you to its first scientific symposium embracing the breadth of technologies available. The symposium will gather leading experts in the field of electron and light microscopy. We will hear exciting talks about the latest breakthroughs in technology development and application from our outstanding speakers, including the three Nobel laureates Stefan Hell, Richard Henderson and W. E. Moerner.

Speakers

  • Richard Henderson (MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK)
  • Bridget O. Carragher (Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York, USA)
  • Gaia Pigino (Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, Dresden, Germany)
  • Wolfgang Baumeister (Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Martinsried, Germany)
  • Suliana Manley (EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland)
  • Stefan Hell (Max Planck Institute of Biophysical Chemistry, Göttingen, Germany)
  • Kate McDole (MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK)
  • W. E. Moerner (Stanford University, Stanford, USA)

The talks will be complemented by extended poster sessions where you have the chance to present your work. We are also offering tours through the building by our team as well as tours to specific instruments by our technology development partners Leica Microsystems, Abberior, Thermo Fisher and Zeiss.
