Over the past decade, advances in imaging, genomics, and computational biology have revolutionised our ability to study developmental processes with unprecedented resolution. Nevertheless, effectively integrating these technologies to address fundamental questions remains a challenge.
This course addresses those challenges and offers early-career scientists comprehensive hands-on training in state-of-the-art technologies reshaping the field. Participants will acquire advanced experimental skills in five key areas:
Lectures by leading developmental biologists complementing practical sessions led by EMBL Heidelberg research groups will address recent conceptual and analytical advances in established and emerging developmental systems. Participants will be encouraged to apply newly acquired techniques to their own biological material in selected practicals. By integrating experimental and computational approaches and fostering scientific exchange, the course will equip attendees with the knowledge and methodological toolkit to advance fundamental research in developmental biology.
