Ethics Training

The EMBL Ethics Academy is run by Bioethics Services

The Ethics Academy provides both internal and external Ethics training on a wide variety of ethics-related topics across three broad areas:

  1. Bioethics, which includes all issues related to Human Ethics, Animal Ethics, Environmental Ethics, Biosafety, and the ELSI (the Ethical, Legal and Societal Implications) of EMBL’s research.
  2. Data Ethics, which includes the Ethics of Emerging Technologies, Data Protection, Records Management, and beyond.
  3. Workplace Ethics, which encompasses Equality Diversity and Inclusion, as well as topics such as Research Integrity and Research Culture.

If you are an EMBL user, please refer to our Ethics Academy Intranet page, which links our full course catalogue, and gives you the option to request future training in an area relevant to you.
