Students will have the opportunity to learn a variety of biochemical and biophysical techniques, molecular biology, recombinant expression and purification of proteins. Students will have access and training to cutting-edge technologies to measure interactions and to precisely determine the stability, shape and size of different biomolecules and biomolecular assemblies. The SPC facility currently covers a broad range of biophysical techniques, including calorimetry, mass spectrometry, circular dichroism, fluorescence, microscale thermophoresis, dynamic/static light scattering, infrared spectroscopy, surface plasmon resonance and biolayer interferometry. Students are expected to be highly motivated to work on challenging research projects in an international team.
