Open Access Agreements with Publishers

Would you like to publish in a journal that charges Article Processing Charges (APC)? The Szilárd Library has various agreements with different publishers that allow free Open Access publishing or offer discounts on APCs.

Open Access Agreements combine subscription costs and publication costs that simultaneously give EMBL scientists access to the journals and allow free open-access publishing.

Open Access Memberships allow EMBL authors reductions of the APCs.

If you have any questions about the schemes or your eligibility, please contact OSIM.

This is possible because the EMBL Szilárd Library participates in a consortial open access framework agreement with PLOS (contract years 2023-2024), which includes publication services from the non-profit publisher Public Library of Science (PLOS), which exclusively publishes pure open access journals in the natural and life sciences and related disciplines.
