Chemical Synthesis Core Facility

The Chemical Synthesis Core Facility specializes in small-molecule synthesis. Our mission is to support projects from groups lacking chemical synthesis expertise or infrastructure, providing services ranging from consultation, design, synthesis and characterization of small-molecule tool compounds for a variety of biological applications.

Characterisation implementation

  • Analytical UPLC-MS-ELSD system
  • Analytical Chiral HPLC
  • 400MHz NMR equipped with autosampler and enabling multinuclei measurements
  • Polarimeter

In addition, the large resources in other Core Facilities at EMBL also enable us to perform advanced characterisations including: UV-Vis, fluorescence spectroscopy, and HRMS.
