Next generation imaging for biology across scales
IMAGINE will provide technologies to probe structure and function of biological specimens in their natural context
IMAGINE is offering funded access to six next-generation imaging technologies developed across Euro-BioImaging, Instruct-ERIC, and EMBRC — enabling researchers to study biological specimens in their natural context, across scales, in ways not previously possible.
This pilot call is for projects that wish to combine a minimum of two and a maximum of three of the following technologies to address a defined research question requiring cross-scale imaging:
Funding: A minimum of three projects will be funded, with up to €10,000 per project to cover facility access costs, plus up to €500 for associated expenses such as travel, accommodation, or shipping.
Who can apply: The call is open to external research teams at any career stage. Applicants should have a clearly defined research question and be ready to begin access immediately upon selection — for example, with samples already prepared.
Key dates:
Selected teams will be expected to share structured feedback on the technology and workflow, including validation data and a final summary report.
