What it is

A Named Fund is a way to support EMBL’s mission while celebrating or remembering someone important to you. It could honour a colleague, mentor, or family member, linking their name to scientific discovery and training at EMBL.

Why it matters

  • Creates a lasting tribute that connects a person’s story to EMBL’s mission.
  • Enables alumni and friends to strengthen EMBL while keeping alive the values, achievements, or spirit of those honoured.
  • Builds a culture of philanthropy within our community, ensuring EMBL continues to inspire for generations.

How you can help

You can establish a Named Fund as an individual, family, or group of colleagues. Every gift matters—whether modest or major—and can be tailored to reflect the honouree’s connection with EMBL.
