Places available at ELLS LearningLAB in Prague

Do you speak Czech? Are you looking for new, innovative ideas to teach biology to secondary school pupils? 

If the answer to these questions is yes, you will be delighted to hear that we still have a few places available at our next ELLS LearningLAB which takes place on the 2nd and 3rd of June in Prague, Czech Republic.

This two day LearningLAB, organised in collaboration with Charles University in Prague, will be focusing on the use of bioinformatics in the classroom. The course provides an interactive introduction to the fields of bioinformatics and demonstrates how this central part of modern biology can be used effectively in the classroom setting to transport biological concepts. The two course days are packed with seminars by researchers from EMBL and Charles University, hands-on activities on bioinformatics which can be used in the classroom, the opportunity to design your own teaching material, as well as plenty of time to discuss ideas with researchers, education experts and fellow teachers.
