Activities in the Open Science Community

One of the efforts involves coordinating open science training sessions, equipping fellow researchers with essential skills for embracing transparent research practices. This community working group collected the catalog of Open Science Training Resources.

Additionally, we actively contributes to revising and enhancing the institution’s Open Science Policy. This group helps ensure that EMBL’s Open Science Policy remains progressive and aligned with the evolving needs of the scientific community. In the latest round of policy update, the feedback from the Open Science Community was incoporated into the Implementation Guidelines.

Currently, we are working on updating the Open Source Software section of the Implementation Guidelines. We welcome input from open source software experts around EMBL, please feel free to get in touch by emailing victoria.yan@embl.de.
