The EMBL Alumni Association board met for their last meeting in their current constellation at EMBL Heidelberg on Lab Day on 10 July.
Agenda items included approval of the fast growing number of members, a review of the new board (which takes office in January 2016), the Lennart Philipson Award selection process, and recent and future alumni initiatives.

This image is a composite of lateral pentascolopidial organs, a wing imaginal disc pouch, and an epithelial wound in a Drosophila larva. The organs are arranged here like eyelashes. Cells surrounding an epidermal wound appear as the iris and pupil of this artistic eye.
