EditAt EMBL Heidelberg, the IT infrastructure is designed to support data-driven science involving key technologies such as genome sequencing, large-scale imaging, computational biology and modelling.
The EMBL 3D Cloud is a flexible, scalable virtualisation infrastructure that enables users to process microscopy data without having to move large datasets multiple times.
Discover how EMBL scientists are using GPU computing to push biology forward and how IT Services are supporting these activities.
Alba Diz-Muñoz – Group Leader, Cell Biology and Biophysics Unit
“What I find very special about the IT department here is that you can come to them with a problem and they’ll solve it very quickly. The efficiency of the team is really remarkable.”
Jaime Huerta – Research Scientist, Bork Group
“I’m very happy with the new system they’re setting up, which is the state-of-the-art in high-performance computing.”
