EMBL-Institut Pasteur – a European Partnership in Infection Biology
EMBL and the Institut Pasteur have formalized their long-standing strategic partnership through an MoU in early 2025. By combining EMBL’s cutting-edge expertise in genomics, structural biology, and bioinformatics with the Institut Pasteur’s renowned strengths in microbiology, immunology, and public health, the collaboration fosters innovative approaches to understanding complex biological systems and combating emerging pathogens.
This collaboration not only accelerates scientific discovery but also enhances training opportunities and resource sharing, reinforcing Europe’s leadership in life sciences research, as also indicated in their collaboration under the EMBL Amplifying Funds.
