Chief Operating Officer beta

The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for maintaining close working relationships with national and local authorities in the host countries of the EMBL sites.

The Chief Operating Officer also has close relationships with the EMBL Council, and in particular the Finance Committee, which decide the Laboratory’s general policies, budgets, and terms and conditions of service.

He is supported in this by the Heads of Human Resources, Finance, Purchase, Facility Management, Legal Services, Health and Safety, and general support services. The Chief Operating Officer's team includes a Senior Project Officer and a Records and Information Manager.
