{"id":8505,"date":"2016-11-18T10:20:28","date_gmt":"2016-11-18T09:20:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.embl.de\/?p=8505"},"modified":"2024-03-25T10:07:29","modified_gmt":"2024-03-25T09:07:29","slug":"1611-blueprint-advances-epigenetics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/news\/science\/1611-blueprint-advances-epigenetics\/","title":{"rendered":"BLUEPRINT project delivers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Blood disease research has been taken to a new level with a suite of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cell.com\/consortium\/IHEC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">47 scientific papers published in <em>Cell<\/em><\/a> and other high-profile journals by the International Human Epigenome Consortium (<a href=\"http:\/\/ihec-epigenomes.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IHEC<\/a>). To support biomedical research, IHEC and the EU-funded <a href=\"http:\/\/dcc.blueprint-epigenome.eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BLUEPRINT project <\/a>have made the 1000+ associated datasets freely available to all.<\/p>\n<p>The work published today is the result of coordinated efforts by scientists in Canada, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and other EU Member States. Forty-two leading European universities, research institutes and industry entrepreneurs participate in what is one of the two first \u2018high impact research initiatives\u2019 to receive funding from the EU. The 42 partner organisations represent 33 academic groups and 9 companies from 12 countries.<\/p>\n<p>Comprehensive sets of reference epigenome data relevant to health and disease are available freely
