{"id":73549,"date":"2025-02-21T10:15:34","date_gmt":"2025-02-21T09:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/news\/?p=73549"},"modified":"2025-11-19T12:51:14","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T11:51:14","slug":"how-ai-fuels-research-discovery-and-innovation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/news\/connections\/how-ai-fuels-research-discovery-and-innovation\/","title":{"rendered":"How AI fuels research, discovery, and innovation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From microscopy to therapeutics, AI and life sciences made for a captivating \u2018main dish\u2019 at this year\u2019s EMBL Corporate Partnership Programme (CPP) annual meeting and dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 2009, the CPP has served as a hub for collaboration to support the next generation of molecular life scientists through training. It has also connected global leaders from participating companies to EMBL\u2019s world-leading scientists to share information on the latest developments. Each year, the programme holds a networking event, including talks on a given theme. This year\u2019s theme was \u2018AI in life sciences\u2019, with presentations on topics ranging from drug discovery and product development to protein design and cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe event always leaves participants with a broadened perspective,\u201d said Nadine Ilk, CPP Manager. \u201cEach year, our themes represent some of the most cutting-edge life science research, and this year\u2019s theme of AI was no exception.
