Cusack will retire from EMBL at the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the 32 speakers were 2009 Nobel Laureate Venki Ramakrishnan, EMBL Director General Edith Heard, former Instruct-ERIC director Dave Stuart, and ESRF Director General Francesco Sette. He stepped down from that appointment as head of site in 2022. He is an internationally respected structural biologist for his work in the structure and function of protein-RNA complexes, and technology development for synchrotron-based structural biology research.
