We also greatly value input and feedback from our users. Our user community constantly contributes data and scientific expertise to help improve and grow our databases.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enabling communities to use FAIR data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our researchers share their expertise with scientists around the world to foster collaborations and help build capacity for bioinformatics and Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reproducible (FAIR) data principles. This helps to give researchers everywhere more control to <a href=\"https:\/\/faircookbook.elixir-europe.org\/content\/home.html\">manage their data and make it FAIR<\/a>, to create global data standards, and to build a community for open data research.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The challenges of open data research&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Large-scale open data initiatives such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.earthbiogenome.org\/\">Earth BioGenome Project<\/a> come with their own set of challenges. When working at a global scale, these challenges include funding management, sample collection, and metadata coordination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Find out more about <a
