{"id":39292,"date":"2021-06-08T13:10:07","date_gmt":"2021-06-08T11:10:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/news\/?p=39292"},"modified":"2021-07-01T12:32:38","modified_gmt":"2021-07-01T10:32:38","slug":"embl-external-research-community-survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/news\/lab-matters\/embl-external-research-community-survey\/","title":{"rendered":"EMBL external research community survey"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you have accessed EMBL experimental services at one or more of our facilities to support the conduct of your research, we would like to hear from you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EMBL experimental services include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>EMBL Hamburg<\/strong>: the beamlines, macromolecular X-ray crystallography or sample preparation and characterisation services.<\/li><li><strong>EMBL Grenoble<\/strong>: the MX or bioSAXS beamlines at the ESRF owned by the ESRF and jointly operated by the ESRF-EMBL Joint Structural Biology Group, or the Cryo electron microscope (CM01) at ESRF operated by the European Photon and Neutron campus partners.<\/li><li><strong>EMBL Heidelberg:<\/strong>&nbsp;the microscopy, chemical biology, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics or protein expression and purification services.<\/li><li><strong>EMBL Rome:<\/strong>&nbsp;the flow cytometry, microscopy, genetic and viral engineering or gene editing and embryology services.<\/li><li><strong>EMBL Barcelona:<\/strong>&nbsp;the selective plane illumination microscopy (SPIM)\/light-sheet microscopy or optical projection tomography services.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please take the time to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.research.net\/r\/GXKKYXW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fill out the survey<\/a> &#8211; your participation is extremely important to inform the assessment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The survey will remain open until 30 June 2021 and should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We appreciate your time and input,&nbsp;and please feel free to share this survey with other users.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Best wishes,<br \/>Edith Heard<br \/>Director General<br \/>European Molecular Biology Laboratory<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EMBL is conducting an Impact Assessment of our experimental services to understand the value these services have for our external user community.
