Anne Ephrussi has been awarded the German Feldberg Prize 2022 in recognition of her outstanding research. Anne\u2019s scientific work focuses on understanding how RNA molecules are transported and their translation regulated in animal development. In 2007 she was appointed Head of the Developmental Biology Unit at EMBL Heidelberg, and in 2019 she became Director of EMBL\u2019s International Centre for Advanced Training<\/a> (EICAT). She is an elected member of the European Molecular Biology Organization<\/a> (EMBO), the Academia Europaea<\/a>, and the French Academy of Sciences<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Feldberg Foundation<\/a>, founded by Professor Wilhelm Feldberg in 1961, promotes scientific contact between German and British scientists within the sphere of experimental medical research, in particular in physiology, pharmacology, and related topics, primarily by the establishment of scientific exchange lectures. Each year a German and a British scientist are chosen to receive a prize, the amount of which is an indication of Feldberg’s wish that the recipients should be outstanding in their particular field. In recognition of the prize, Anne will give a prize lecture in the UK in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
