The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences, a global leader in life science research, drug discovery and cellular science, today announced that they have entered into a corporate partnership in support of EMBL’s Advanced Training Centre in Heidelberg, Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the terms of the partnership, PerkinElmer will sponsor and have access to the Advanced Training Centre’s scientific training programmes, facilities, conferences and events, in what is intended as a center of excellence for molecular biology training in Europe. PerkinElmer will also provide advice regarding future conferences and programmes at the Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The recently established EMBL Corporate Partnership Programme is designed to create and enhance long-term, effective relationships between EMBL and top-tier corporate partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Iain Mattaj, EMBL Director General, said, “Our organisation is delighted to have a partner of PerkinElmer’s caliber in promoting the mission of EMBL and supporting the aims of the Advanced Training Centre. This partnership is a significant milestone in our shared vision to create a central platform for training and exchange in molecular biology in Europe. We look forward to inaugurating the state-of-the-art Centre when it is completed in 2009.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
