Experience with NGS data analysis and\/or QTL mapping in humans is beneficial. Current projects range from personalised &#8216;omics approaches, aiming at understanding the molecular basis of complex traits to predictions of drug-genotype interactions. The successful candidate is expected to take a strong lead on his\/her project and start to develop independent ideas that can potentially be followed up by collaborations with experimental labs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For applications please contact Judith Zaugg by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/people\/person\/530d149f62df3cf7282086c24fcb4d276952308ff76ee15ece112a623611cf2d\/\">email<\/a>&nbsp;and attach your CV and a brief motivation letter of your research interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applicants for PhD positions or <strong>Bachelor \/<\/strong> Master students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will have the opportunity to learn and help develop a variety of bioinformatics and statistical tools and models ranging from NGS data analysis pipelines, eQTL mapping and personalized genomics to large-scale data processing and visualization. A theoretical background and \/ or interest in either bioinformatics\/biostatistics, programming or functional genomics\/genetics is beneficial.
