We encourage candidates to develop their own ideas. Current project interests include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Developing new tools and methods for labelling and barcoding biomolecules to enable:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Spatial omics applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High-throughput phenotypic profiling of cells and tissues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Correlative imaging (combining fluorescence microscopy with electron microscopy or mass spectrometry imaging).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Probing of protein\u2013RNA\u2013DNA interactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Studying spatial heterogeneity and regulation of subcellular spatial organisation (nuclei, organelles, condensates).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deciphering high-dimensional phenotypes in cancer, neurodegeneration, and ageing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Experience with data analysis, microscopy, biochemistry, and\/or cell biology is beneficial, but we also welcome interdisciplinary backgrounds (computer science, bioinformatics, (bio)physics, chemistry, theory).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We participate in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/about\/info\/postdoctoral-programme\/eipod-linc-exploring-life-in-context\/\">EIPOD-LinC Postdoctoral Fellowship <\/a> programme, which provides a great framework for postdoctoral trainees to perform interdisciplinary research across multiple groups and to gain independence. We are also part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.health-life-sciences.de\/\">Health + Life Science Alliance Heidelberg Mannheim<\/a>  and &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lifesciencealliance.stanford.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EMBL | Stanford Life Science Alliance<\/a>. Our group is happy to support applications for these collaborative funding opportunities and other external fellowships.
