It is important for&nbsp;postdocs&nbsp;to apply well in advance. When you apply, please provide the e-mail addresses of at least three scientists who can comment on your scientific qualifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also essential for postdocs to write a project proposal and to apply for postdoctoral fellowships. This should be done after a discussion of current topics of interest. Assistance in writing the proposal is given, including assistance through the EMBL grant service, but it is important that the project proposal reflects your ideas and interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many fellowships available depending on nationalities, research area and mobility criteria for which one may contact the EMBL grant services. A selection of them is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>EMBO<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HFSP<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marie Curie<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Humboldt fellowship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Peter and Traudl Engelhorn fellowship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EMBL EIPOD and EIPOD-Linc fellowships&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PhD student<\/strong>s<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All interested\u00a0<strong>PhD student<\/strong>\u00a0applicants have to apply directly to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/about\/info\/embl-international-phd-programme\/\">EMBL International PhD Programme<\/a>. Each year, there are two application deadlines and interview weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mmpu.de\/\">MMPU<\/a>&nbsp;invites applications of interested PhD and MD postdoctoral candidates.
