{"id":724,"date":"2021-03-11T10:55:33","date_gmt":"2021-03-11T10:55:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/groups\/galej\/?p=724"},"modified":"2021-03-11T11:01:34","modified_gmt":"2021-03-11T11:01:34","slug":"ci-spliceosome-intermediate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/groups\/galej\/blog\/2021\/03\/ci-spliceosome-intermediate\/","title":{"rendered":"Ci spliceosome intermediate"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The latest #cryoEM structure from Nagai group at MRC LMB in Cambridge identifying a <strong>new spliceosome assembly intermediate (Ci complex)<\/strong> is now published in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cell.com\/molecular-cell\/fulltext\/S1097-2765(21)00131-3\">Molecular Cell<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper contains the most complete and accurate depiction of the catalytic spliceosome to date and identifies a new functional state that modulates the equilibrium between the two steps of splicing.
