On May 11, 2023 at 5:00 pm the curtain will finally rise again for the Friends of EMBL Science Movie Night. We are back after the pandemic break and this time we have even more space for all science-enthusiasts at the LUXOR-Filmpalast<\/strong> Heidelberg (Eppelheimer Str. 6)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Join us to watch the Hollywood blockbuster “Guardians of the Galaxy” (Vol.1)<\/strong> and discover a world where animals and plants display amazing properties. A walking tree and a highly intelligent raccoon are part of a team that faces a dark force to save the galaxy. The action-packed and entertaining film follows the heroes on their mission that takes them across the space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During intermissions, EMBL researcher Dr. Tobias Gerber<\/strong> will take the floor to question the science shown in the film: Can living creatures really regenerate within seconds and grow at will?
