We are pleased to announce the release of InterPro 43.1. This release fixes the problem with the protein match data in InterPro release 43.0.  It includes an update to Pfam (27.0)  and 805 new methods from the GENE3D, PANTHER, Pfam, ProDom and SUPERFAMILY databases. Protein families covered by the new entries include a number of growth factors and their corresponding receptors, and families involved in actin cytoskeleton organisation.

InterPro release 43.1 contains 25,214 entries and covers 81.3% of UniProt Knowledgebase release 2013_07. It predicts Gene Ontology (GO) terms for over 25 million UniProt proteins via the InterPro2GO pipeline.

The new release features updates to UniParc (uniparc_match.tar.gz) and UniMES (unimes_match.tar.gz) matches to InterPro methods. These can be found on our ftp site: ftp://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/interpro
