Facility Management deals with a wide range of problems, from a dripping tap or malfunctioning plug to building construction.
The team is based at Heidelberg and maintains the entire campus as well as consulting on various planning, building and renovation projects at all EMBL sites.
Other responsibilities include all service areas: gas, water, plumbing, electricity, cooling, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, telecommunication, waste disposal, caretaking services, and measurement and control technology. Building fire protection as well as technical building and common safety also fall within the team's areas of expertise. Our services are complemented by the reception, security and transport teams.
