{"id":790,"date":"2021-07-07T07:42:30","date_gmt":"2021-07-07T07:42:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/about\/info\/undergraduates\/?page_id=790"},"modified":"2023-09-07T11:08:55","modified_gmt":"2023-09-07T11:08:55","slug":"eipods-inspire","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/about\/info\/undergraduates\/eipods-inspire\/","title":{"rendered":"EIPODs inspire"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"vf-grid | vf-grid__col-3\"><div class=\"vf-grid__col--span-2\"><!--[vf\/content]-->\n<div class=\"vf-content\">\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EIPODs Inspire enables young researchers to expand their scientific network and explore cutting-edge life science research. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It offers the opportunity to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>receive 18 months&#8217; informal mentorship from an EMBL Interdisciplinary Postdoc,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and attend the EMBL PhD Symposium.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The scheme is open to students studying for a scientific master\u2019s degree in an EMBL member or prospect member state eligible for EU Widening Actions under Horizon 2020. These are: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Croatia | Czech Republic | Estonia | Hungary | Latvia | Lithuania | Luxembourg | Malta | Montenegro | Poland | Portugal | Slovakia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Programme status<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Two calls for mentees have been completed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2021 call: 24 mentee and mentor pairs were established. Mentees attended the <a href=\"https:\/\/communications.embl-community.io\/phdsymposium-archive\/2021\/\">2021 EMBL PhD Symposium<\/a> and attended a kick-off meeting with their mentors in December 2021. The mentoring period for this cohort ran from December 2021 to June 2023.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2022 call: 19 mentee and mentor pairs were established. Mentees attended the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/about\/info\/embl-international-phd-programme\/phd-symposium\/\">2022 EMBL PhD Symposium<\/a> and attended a kick-off meeting with their mentors in December 2022.
