We intend to explore how these microplanktonic communities vary with environmental gradients at a (sub)cellular scale with a directed focus on marine dinoflagellates. STARDUST plans to apply high-resolution multimodal correlative imaging techniques to study the vast dinoflagellate diversity within heterogeneous environmental samples collected directly from the
