This initiative aims to help researchers explore biological specimens in their natural context, combining complementary approaches to reveal new insights that may not be possible with a single imaging technique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Combine technologies to answer complex biological questions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Researchers can apply to combine&nbsp;<strong>two or three imaging technologies<\/strong>&nbsp;tailored to their research questions. The available technologies span a broad range of approaches:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>X-ray Imaging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electron Microscopy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Super-resolution Microscopy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intravital Microscopy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marine Imaging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data Management &amp; AI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By integrating these complementary technologies, selected teams will have the opportunity to investigate biological processes across scales and develop innovative imaging workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Funding available for selected projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The call will fund&nbsp;<strong>at least three projects<\/strong>, with support including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Up to \u20ac10,000 per project<\/strong>&nbsp;for facility access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Up to \u20ac500 per project<\/strong>&nbsp;for associated expenses, such as travel, accommodation or shipping.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">External research teams at any career stage are welcome to apply, provided they have a clearly defined research question that requires cross-scale imaging and can begin facility access immediately after selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selected teams will also contribute structured feedback on the technologies and workflows, including validation data and a final summary report, helping to further develop and improve these integrated imaging approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key dates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Call opens:<\/strong>&nbsp;1 October 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Application deadline:<\/strong>&nbsp;15 November 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Project completion deadline:<\/strong>&nbsp;End of 2027<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Apply now!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do you have a research question that could benefit from combining imaging technologies across scales?
