Credits: Anna Steyer\/EMBL\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>iNEXT-Discovery is a four-year structural biology project funded from the European Commission\u00a0Horizon 2020 scheme.\u00a0It\u00a0supports the scientific community with open access services in\u00a0X-rays, NMR, macromolecular biophysics\u00a0and\u00a0cryo-EM that are provided by\u00a0several leading European facilities\u00a0including the EMBL Imaging Centre.\u00a0Importantly,\u00a0iNEXT-Discovery\u00a0not only offers\u00a0access to\u00a0state-of-the-art instrumentation, but also stimulates\u00a0expert support and guidance, to be able\u00a0to help also non-experts to answer their scientific questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To&nbsp;promote access to cutting-edge&nbsp;technologies,&nbsp;like correlated&nbsp;light and&nbsp;electron&nbsp;microscopy (CLEM) and cryo-electron&nbsp;tomography (ET),&nbsp;also among non-specialist researchers, iNEXT-Discovery&nbsp;has now opened&nbsp;a&nbsp;dedicated&nbsp;\u201c<strong>CLEM and ET call for proposals<\/strong>\u201d. In this call,&nbsp;researchers in need for CLEM or ET support are invited to submit&nbsp;short research proposals&nbsp;which iNEXT Discovery&nbsp;will discuss with the EM-facilities involved. After&nbsp;peer-review by external specialists and approval, the facility access for these projects is essentially free of costs&nbsp;for you. So,&nbsp;in case you have a suitable biological system&nbsp;and research question,&nbsp;visit the iNEXT Discovery homepage&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/inext-discovery.eu\/submit-proposal\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>here&nbsp;<\/strong><\/a>and register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For other EM-Facilities the&nbsp;<strong>deadline&nbsp;<\/strong>for applications is&nbsp;<strong>15&nbsp;July, 2022<\/strong>, while&nbsp;at the EMBL Imaging Centre we offer CLEM and ET services as part of our portfolio all year around.
