Work by the Hackett group and others has shed light on this \u201cgut-germline axis\u201d across phyla, with recent work in mice showing that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41586-024-07336-w\">paternal gut microbiome can affect offspring fitness<\/a>. By combining machine learning approaches on cohort study data with <em>in vivo<\/em> (mouse) and <em>in vitro<\/em> (cell culture) experiments, we hope to bring novel insights into the role of the
