We are&nbsp;delighted to announce that the conference is going virtual and invite you to join us online.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conference Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When the conference takes place it will be two years since the first identification of COVID-19 cases in China in late 2019 and since then the pandemic has become the most devastating challenge to global health for a century. In an unprecedented mobilisation, thousands of scientists world-wide have focused their attention, in a highly collaborative way, on understanding the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the disease it causes and its evolution, and, in developing counter measures. Conference participants are not required to pre-pay the registration fee to be selected for a fee waiver for a virtual meeting. Eligible costs include fees for a babysitter or childcare facility or travel costs for a care giver. Please note that priority will be given to early stage researchers.
