The focus will be on new technologies that empower studies of cell wall, cytoskeleton, and membrane biology, such as advanced imaging in&nbsp;<em>in vitro<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>in vivo<\/em>&nbsp;systems, as well as approaches combining molecular biology with computational and biophysical approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first edition started building a much-needed bridge between the wall and wall-less fields. This edition will cement that bridge, but turn the focus to the balance between keeping a particular cell morphology necessary for function, while allowing the dynamic processes that must occur at the cell surface.
