More importantly, completely new classes of proteins (including enzymes, signaling molecules, transporters and channels etc.) were recognized as RBPs, posing questions regarding the biological functions of RNA binding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This, the second edition of this meeting will again convene leaders in the field of RBPs \u2013 classical and newly discovered \u2013 to discuss exciting progress on all fronts, from posttranscriptional regulation of RNA expression to the riboregulation of protein functions, facilitated by rapidly emerging experimental technologies and data analysis tools. Discussion topics will range from structural work over cell biology, including RBP-containing \u2018membraneless organelles\u2019, metabolism and progress regarding human diseases. Alternatively, you can access the link on the confirmation page directly after registering. The same login credentials are used for both processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abstract selection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The selection process will take place with the results announced by email to all applicants \/ submitters. We aim to announce 3 weeks (21 days) after the abstract submission deadline but delays may occur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Things to keep in mind when preparing the abstract<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Abstract body: <\/strong>the limit of 2,000 characters refers to manually typed text and excludes spaces. If an error occurs try using a different web browser (preferably Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you copy-paste the text into the form, hidden formatting might still be included which may cause the text to exceed the 2,000 character limit resulting in an error message. We recommend you clear all formatting before pasting in the text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have special symbols in your text, make sure you are using Unicode characters, otherwise these will not be recognised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Title: <\/strong>the title should not exceed 20 words. Recipients will be notified of their travel cap amount when they are informed of the outcome of their application. Receipts must be provided via email with your signature for all costs incurred within two months of completion of travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Childcare grant<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is the possibility to apply for a childcare grant to offset child care costs incurred by participants, speakers, and organisers when attending a conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible costs include (but are not limited to) fees for a babysitter or childcare facility, and travel costs for a caregiver. Please note that priority will be given to early stage researchers. You may apply for a childcare grant at the same time when submitting your abstract. There is a limited amount of funding available for the childcare grants and funds will be distributed amongst eligible applicants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On-site participants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may apply for financial assistance when submitting your abstract.
