Over the last decade, advances in modern genomics have provided important insight into 3D genome organisation but the underlying cell biology of the nucleus is often not considered. The nucleus is not just a passive scaffold for the genome: it is a highly dynamic organelle with a suite of unique mechanisms that help control its biochemical compartmentalization, its integration into both intra and extracellular mechanical networks, and its response to pathological and environmental insults. The goal of this conference is to showcase the cell biological mechanisms that define the nucleus as an organelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To meet this goal, we intend to bring together scientists from a range of backgrounds working on different aspects of the nucleus, including nuclear architecture, nuclear envelope remodeling, nuclear transport, nuclear mechanics, molecular machines, nuclear divisions, Recipients will be notified of their travel cap amount when they are informed of the outcome of their application. Original receipts must be provided with your signature for all costs incurred within two months of completion of travel. Scanned copies cannot be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Childcare grant<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is the possibility to apply for a childcare grant to offset child care costs incurred by participants, speakers and organisers when attending a conference. Eligible costs include (but are not limited to) fees for a baby-sitter or child-care facility and travel costs for a caregiver. Please note that priority will be given to early stage researchers. In order to apply for this grant, you must be registered by the abstract submission deadline.
