Gaining mechanistic insights requires bringing together multiple disciplines and viewpoints. The focus of this workshop series is on interspecies and cell-environment interactions across living organisms, with a special focus on bacteria, microbial eukaryotes, and viruses. The workshop series aims to highlight the latest technological advances, amplify scientific and societal focus on biodiversity, and showcase studies on the vital role of microbes in planetary ecosystems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2024 meeting will bring together researchers from a wide range of fields and organismal systems that aim to gain mechanistic insights on major outstanding ecological and evolutionary questions (e.g., how organisms interact and assemble into communities, how genotypic variation transforms into phenotypic variation) or that develop novel experimental and \/ or computational approaches for doing so. Please note that priority will be given to early stage researchers. In order to apply for this grant, you must be registered by the abstract submission deadline.
