The vascular system regulates exchange of oxygen, nutrients and immune cells &#8211; the dysfunction of which can cause severe pathologies. Mouse models, genetics and histology of human samples, coupled with recent advances in imaging, single-cell approaches and computational modelling, have provided significant knowledge to the field of vascular biology. Yet, in vivo models are highly complex and often need to be combined with simpler in vitro studies to get mechanistic and molecular insights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Growth of in vitro blood vessels presents numerous research challenges due to their complex 3D geometry, and a strong coupling between biology and mechanics.<br>Recent advances in microfluidic and 3D bioprinting offer a higher degree of control over design, system components and biological function. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the emergence and consolidation of these technologies, together with human iPS cell technologies, the vascular biology field is starting to model vascularized tissues and human vascular diseases in vitro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this meeting, we intend to bring together vascular biologists and bioengineers from It has two passenger terminals: Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2). The airport has allocated airlines to terminals, regardless of the destination of the flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Airport Transfers to the city centre<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aerobusbarcelona.es\/?lang=en\">Aerob\u00fas<\/a>&nbsp;is an express bus service that connects the Barcelona-El Prat airport with the city centre (Pla\u00e7a Catalunya) in 35 minutes. You can take the Aerob\u00fas outside Terminal 1 (A1) and Terminal 2 (A2). This service runs every day of the year with departures between 5 and 15 minutes. From the city centre, you can take the metro or a bus to move around Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.renfe.com\/es\/en\/suburban\/suburban-barcelona\">train service<\/a>&nbsp;(R2 line) runs approximately every 30 minutes to and from Barcelona airport to the city centre. The journey takes 25 minutes. The train service operates from Terminal 2 (T2). To get from T2 to T1, use the shuttle bus service (<em>Bus transit T1-T2<\/em>). If you travel from the airport to the city centre, you can get off at Barcelona-Sants, Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia or Clot which are serviced by metro stops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also take the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmb.cat\/en\/visit-barcelona\/public-transport\/metro-airport\">metro<\/a>&nbsp;line L9 (orange) from the airport. It departs at Terminal 1 and connects at stations Torrassa (L1 and L10 Sud), Collblanc (L5 and L10 Sud) with metros to the city centre.&nbsp;<br><br>You will find a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com\/en\/airport\/transport\/barcelona-airport-taxis.html\">taxi&nbsp;<\/a>rank outside any of the main terminal exits. Look for the sign pointing to the nearest taxi rank. All&nbsp;<strong>official Barcelona taxis are black and yellow<\/strong>&nbsp;and are required to charge you only the value on the taximeter (plus any surcharge, e.g. luggage or night). The rates and surcharges are displayed inside the cab. In Barcelona, a taxi may be either ordered by phone, found at authorised taxi rank or flagged down in the street.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Getting to Barcelona \u2013 By train<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Barcelona Sants is the main train station for national and international arrivals and departures in Barcelona. It is situated in pla\u00e7a dels Pa\u00efsos Catalanes \u2013 Barcelona. National and regional trains also depart from Fran\u00e7a station. It is located at avinguda Marqu\u00e8s de l\u2019Argentera, s\/n \u2013 Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.renfe.com\/EN\/viajeros\/index.html\">Spanish Railways (RENFE)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pub<\/strong>lic Transport in Barcelona<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Metro and tram<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmb.cat\/en\/barcelona-transport\/map\/metro\">metro network<\/a>&nbsp;of Barcelona is very good and the trains are frequent and quick. You do not have to worry about timetables. Almost all attractions are within walking distance of a metro or tram station. When there are no subways, the gap can be filled by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tram.cat\/en\/\">tram<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can find the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmb.cat\/en\/barcelona\/operating-hours-metro-bus\">operating hours of the metro and tram here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Buses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmb.cat\/en\/barcelona-transport\/map\/bus\">operating times of the buses&nbsp;<\/a>are different for each line. You will find a notice board with the timetable at each stop. They operate from about 5:00 clock to about 22:00 clock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Night bus (NitBus)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both the metro and the buses do not run all night. In Barcelona, there is a fairly dense network of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/irbarcelona.org\/getting-around-barcelona\/public-transportation\/nitbus-barcelona-night-bus\/\">night buses<\/a>&nbsp;to get you back to your hotel all night long. Except for the line N0 all lines stop at Pla\u00e7a Catalunya and can change there. The N0 line is a circular line that allows you to circle around the city center and change to the other NitBus.
