At this symposium, multiple disciplines will come together in order to discuss common themes linked to oscillations, rhythms and synchronization, in a broad range of contexts. The 2024 edition of this established symposium will expand the discussion to the scale of ecological oscillations and willl also highlight the interplay between internal and environmental rhythms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This meeting provides a unique platform to bring together a community working at the interface between quantitative biology, complex oscillatory systems, modelling and theory. As with the editions in 2015, 2018 and 2022, this meeting aims to serve as a bridge between experimentalists and theorists and to reveal common challenges and approaches that can be shared across fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Session Topics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oscillation mechanisms across different scales: from circadian clock to embryonic oscillators to biochemical (metabolic) oscillations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oscillation function across scale and context<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Synchronisation of coupled oscillators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ecological rhythms and oscillations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mathematical modelling and computational approaches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Imaging approaches to study oscillatory dynamics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pre-symposium workshop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Oscillator Theory for Biologists\u201d workshop (optional). Recipients will be notified of their travel cap amount when they are informed of the outcome of their application. Scanned copies cannot be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Childcare grant<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is the possibility to apply for a childcare grant to offset child care costs incurred by participants, speakers and organisers when attending a conference. Eligible costs include (but are not limited to) fees for a baby-sitter or child-care facility and travel costs for a caregiver. Please note that priority will be given to early stage researchers. In order to apply for this grant, you must be registered by the abstract submission deadline. There is a limited amount of funding available for the childcare grants and funds will be distributed amongst eligible applicants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On-site participants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may apply for financial assistance when submitting your abstract.
