It is a beautiful place, the kids can play, and there’s a free bookshelf where I have found a couple of real gems (thanks to the mysterious benefactor who keeps dropping great English books).

What do you like most about your job?

What I love most about my job is the rush when the “big day” finally arrives. After months of planning, I thrive on the whirlwind — darting from place to place, keeping the reins, and making sure every little detail clicks into place. It’s that mix of adrenaline, focus, and satisfaction that makes all the late nights worth it. And I especially love watching people connect, learn, and enjoy themselves in this wonderful environment here at the ATC.

First thing you do before a conference/course starts, and the first thing you do after a conference/course finishes?

First thing I always try to do is deep-clean my apartment the weekend before the event since I know I won’t have time to do anything at all during that week.

First thing I do after the event is collapsing on the couch with my cats and enjoy the feeling of decompression (not without worrying that all my overseas speakers have made it to their flights okay).

If you weren’t a Course and Conference Officer, what would you be?

I used to work as an intensive care nurse and nursing instructor while pursuing my degree in the humanities.
