There is no longer any requirement to prove that you are vaccinated or to show any negative Covid-19 test certification. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may wish to bring masks and a supply of self-tests. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details  class=\"vf-details\" id=\"\"  >\n<summary class=\"vf-details--summary\">\nDo I need to show a negative test on arrival for the event?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>No &#8211; proof of a negative test is no longer required on entry to courses or conferences. It is however recommended that you self-test before travelling to Heidelberg. If you&#8217;d like to self-test occasionally during your stay, especially if you have symptoms that could be Covid-19 or think you have been exposed to someone who tested positive, test kits are available on request. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details  class=\"vf-details\" id=\"\"  >\n<summary class=\"vf-details--summary\">\nDo I need to wear a mask anywhere onsite?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>Masks are no longer mandatory anywhere at EMBL. You may still choose to wear a mask of course.  <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details  class=\"vf-details\" id=\"\"  >\n<summary class=\"vf-details--summary\">\nDo I need to register to enter Germany from another country?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>Not any longer, no.  Throughout the pandemic Germany required anyone arriving from an  &#8216;area with variants of concern&#8217; or with &#8217;emerging variants of concern&#8217; to register when travelling here.  Since February 2023, nowhere has been considered to be such an area by Germany. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rki.de\/DE\/Content\/InfAZ\/N\/Neuartiges_Coronavirus\/Risikogebiete_neu.html\">list of such risk areas<\/a>, should new ones arise,  is on the Robert Koch Institute website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details  class=\"vf-details\" id=\"\"  >\n<summary class=\"vf-details--summary\">\nWhat happens if I test positive for COVID-19 during my stay in Heidelberg for a course or conference? <\/summary>\n<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p id=\"block-697a316c-9e53-4c2d-81c9-b17e1cec85be\"><br>If you test positive whilst your course or conference is still running, you must withdraw from the event and cannot return unless you subsequently test negative. The EMBL Course and Conference Office team can help and advise you on everything from  the current regulations in Germany to accessing medical advice and further tests if needed.  There is no requirement to quarantine in Germany any longer if you test positive. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details  class=\"vf-details\" id=\"\"  >\n<summary class=\"vf-details--summary\">\nAre there still any local Covid-19 restrictions to be aware of in Germany (e.g. masks on public transport, visits to medical institutions)?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>Since April 2023, masks are no longer legally required anywhere, however in some medical institutions or practices you may still be asked to wear one. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details  class=\"vf-details\" id=\"\"  >\n<summary class=\"vf-details--summary\">\nWhere can I find more information?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>Information on the COVID measures and travel restrictions in place in European countries can be found on the following websites: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.auswaertiges-amt.de\/en\/coronavirus\/2317268\">https:\/\/www.auswaertiges-amt.de\/en\/coronavirus\/2317268<\/a> and <a href=\" https:\/\/reopen.europa.eu\/en\">  https:\/\/reopen.europa.eu\/en<\/a>.
