{"id":14,"date":"2020-06-09T15:22:31","date_gmt":"2020-06-09T15:22:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/about\/info\/course-and-conference-office\/home\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T12:42:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T11:42:25","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/about\/info\/course-and-conference-office\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"vf-grid | vf-grid__col-4\"><div class=\"vf-grid__col--span-3\"><!--[vf\/content]-->\n<div class=\"vf-content\">\n\n<p class=\"vf-lede\">The EMBL Course and Conference Office supports EMBL and external scientists in the organisation of conferences, workshops, practical courses, and key EMBL events.<\/p>\n<!--\/vf-lede-->\n\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The annual programme of onsite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/events\/\">courses and conferences<\/a> is centred on EMBL\u2019s dedicated <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/about\/info\/course-and-conference-office\/embl-advanced-training-centre-atc\/\" target=\"_blank\">Advanced Training Centre<\/a> in Heidelberg but extends to events at the EMBL\u2019s other sites and online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EMBL\u2019s courses and conferences are advanced, innovative, and open.&nbsp;Equality, diversity, and inclusivity are central to our training values at EMBL, as outlined in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.embl.org\/about\/info\/course-and-conference-office\/inclusivity-criteria-for-embl-conferences-and-courses\/\">inclusivity criteria for courses and conferences<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of EMBL\u2019s external training unit, the CCO exists to achieve EMBL\u2019s mission to train scientists, students and visitors at all levels. The team\u2019s service has created a framework where scientists can concentrate on science and critical discussion and its Course and Conference Programme&nbsp;facilitates networking opportunities between scientists at all stages of their careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.embl.org\/events\">EMBL Courses and Conferences<\/a>&nbsp;are a major European platform for sharing and expanding research, knowledge and contacts through face-to-face and virtual interaction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EMBL Course and Conference Office facilitates the strengthening of relationships between international scientists in cutting edge life science research across a large range of disciplines by handling the operational
