MSD UK discovery centre is a state-of-the-art research laboratory developing therapies against some of the most challenging diseases facing ageing populations. As a partner in this project, MSD intends to cooperate with the EMBL towards training of the Fellows. MSD may be able to host up to <u>two 2<\/u>\u00a0<strong> \u00a0<\/strong>Fellows per year during the period 2021-2025 through secondments and intends to introduce them to the ways<strong> <\/strong>of \u00a0working, instrumentation and procedures at MSD. Duration of secondments may be between two <em>(2) <\/em>and six <em>(6) <\/em>months and will be arranged in communication with the Fellow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fellows selected to complete secondment at MSD will come from the field related to or complementary of the field of work of MSD, such as <em>creating life science research <\/em>infrastructure. At MSD, Fellows may have the opportunity to learn <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(i) building infrastructure <em>for translational <\/em>research; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(ii) using machine learning in drug discovery; and\/or <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(iii) multi-parametric biological data analysis and data integration. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fellows may also have the opportunity to become acquainted with the o<strong>peration of high throughput imaging and screening facilities<\/strong>. MSD intends to dedicate supervision capacity by Victor Neduva for each Fellow on a secondment at MSD.
