The event will focus on enzymes, structural enzymology and scientific services. It will also include information on the newly launched <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/projects.au.dk\/danemo\/\" target=\"_blank\">DANEMO<\/a> (Danish research support centre and communication platform with the mission to raise awareness of EMBL and EMBO opportunities), a poster session and opportunities to make new connections and broaden your network over coffee breaks and lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Masters students and fellows from Danish institutions are especially encouraged to attend Day 2 as there will be sessions that focus on careers in Denmark and at EMBL. Travel funding is available, so please visit the &#8220;Travel Awards&#8221; tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event is open to all&nbsp;and includes coffee breaks and lunch. Space is limited so please register as early possible to secure a spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who Should Attend:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tradionally,&nbsp;<em>EMBL in\u2026<\/em> events are open to all life scientists. EMBO and EMBL opportunities are relevant to everyone in the Danish research communities within life sciences in both academia and industry, from undergraduates to senior scientists!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Introducing DANDRITE \u2013 the Danish node of the <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.au.dk\/nordic-embl-partnership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine<\/a><\/strong><br>The Danish Research Institute of Translational Neuroscience (<a class=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dandrite.au.dk\/\">DANDRITE<\/a>) was established by Lundbeckfonden and Aarhus University in 2013 and performs basic and translational research in brain and the nervous system. Applicants must be affiliated with a Danish institution to be eligible for funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Travel award amount<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The travel support funds can cover up to a maximum of 1500 DKK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The travel support fund award must be used for travel expenses, such as train tickets, car pools (list names of participants joining, 1.9 DKK per km), bridge or ferry, and\/or overnight expenses at hotel with \u201cstatsaftale\u201d. N.B.: No meals can be covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Participants who wish to apply for the DANEMO travel award must send their application to DANEMO coordinator Karen Bech-Pedersen (<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:karenb@mbg.au.dk\"><strong>karenb@mbg.au.dk<\/strong><\/a><strong>) as a single pdf document by Friday 19 November 2021 at 12:00 (CEST).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 26 November 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 The application pdf must include a short description (max. one page total) expressing i) your interest in the DANEMO workshop and EMBL alumni meeting, ii) an outline of requested expenses to cover*, iii) your employment category (student, PhD student, or postdoc), and which Danish institution and department you are affiliated with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 In addition, a short CV (one page) and a list of publications, preprints and other scientific disseminations (posters, talks) must be included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 A support letter from your mentor\/supervisor is optional<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Expenses requested covered must be documented (in the application) with a description of the travel from A to B (for travel expenses), and a receipt for the expense added (in the reimbursement request after the
